Wing Wildlings Nursery was founded in August 2023 by Zia, owner of Rutland Outdoor Education Centre and long-time farmer at Wing Hall Farm. After seeing how much children loved the farm and forest school sessions, especially the popular duckling visits, Zia wanted to offer these experiences in a more regular, meaningful way.
That idea quickly grew into Wing Wildlings Nursery, where children can explore, play and learn in a truly unique setting surrounded by nature and animals. Based at Wing Hall and Wing Hall Farm in the Rutland countryside, we offer the perfect mix of outdoor adventure and nurturing care for little ones aged 9 months to 4 years.
In November 2024, we were inspected by Ofsted and proudly received a Good rating, a reflection of our commitment to creating a warm, engaging and safe environment for all our Wildlings.

I enjoy being outdoors, helping children to learn and explore, through fun and hands-on experiences. I have over 10 years’ experience working with children and hold a BA (Hons) in Working with Children and their Families. I love creating a nurturing and welcoming environment, where children can thrive.

Nursery Assistant
I first joined Wing Wildlings as part of my placement while completing my Level 2 qualification. Now that I have successfully completed my qualification, I’m proud to officially join the team. I’m excited to continue growing professionally and support the development and wellbeing of the children.
